Marc Brinkmeyer
Owner and President
Riley Creek founder Marc Brinkmeyer has farming roots dating from Germany in the 1400’s and in Iowa since 1840. The fact that both farms are still in the Brinkmeyer family is testament to the family’s core belief that the land is to be respected and nurtured as a resource that supports us all.
Marc founded Riley Creek in 1981. He begin his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen in Portland, Oregon working with medium and large size companies including several in the forest products sector. He then became Chief Financial Officer of Brand-S corporation, a privately owned lumber manufacturing company, from 1973 until 1981 when he left to acquire the Laclede facility from Brand-S.

Bob Boeh
Vice President Resources
Bob has over thirty-two years of experience in all areas of resource management, procurement and land transactions. He began his career with a large corporate landowner, Plum Creek Timber Company, where his work included large-scale transactions as well as managing the company’s land portfolio, which resulted in higher and better land use performance. Bob joined Riley Creek in 1996 and has a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of Montana.
Erol Deren
Vice President of Marketing
Erol Deren has over 21 years of industry experience. He began his career in 1987 with Georgia Pacific as a sales trainee and advanced to Director of Structural Lumber for the Western United States.
From 2005 to 2008, Erol spearheaded the Denver Distribution Company for Riley Creek. In 2008, he assumed the position of Riley Creek Vice-President of Marketing.
He has a bachelor of science degree in Business from Humboldt State University.
Kelly Leonard
Vice President Finance/ Chief Financial Officer
Kelly has extensive abilities in finance and strategic planning, with experience at several leading international companies. She also has a solid background in the wood products industry. She has an accounting degree from Boise State University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 1991. She was a Fuqua Scholar (top 10%) at Duke University, where she earned her MBA in 2005. She enjoys biking and running and has completed several long-distance triathlons.
