We utilize the best-available lasers, computers, saws, drying and sorting equipment. Technological advancements at Riley Creek make it possible to feed, scan, adjust saws and manufacture lumber simultaneously. We configure each and every cut to get the most board feet possible out of every log that comes through the facility. Scanners and computers translate an ordinary looking log into 39,000 geometric data points that drives the manufacturing process allowing us to saw to the curve of the log, achieve maximum grade recovery and produce straighter lumber. We minimize sawdust waste by using the highest quality saw steels and tipping alloys. All of our lumber is cured in dry kilns. Utilizing weights, moisture and a steam management system, perfected at Riley Creek, our lumber is always properly cured. The lumber graders at Riley Creek are literally champions in their field, winning numerous Western Wood Products Association awards.
